“Bolt is WordPress done right(er)” →
This is a really interesting article in favor of a CMS I’d been vaguely curious about for a while, Bolt. Though the title’s intentionally a bit inflammatory, the text itself is rather fair in acknowledging WordPress’s strengths. However you feel about the reality of WordPress today, keeping an open mind and exploring alternatives from time to time is essential to prevent stagnation.
I’m a rather big fan of the Symfony ecosystem, so Bolt’s reliance on it is a big appeal for me. (Also, this is why I’m kind of excited to check out Drupal 8 when I finally manage to make time for it.) The article didn’t convince me to abandon WordPress — anyone who loves WordPress knows that the actual code of the system is kind of its least important part — but it convinced that I need to try the MIT-licensed Bolt soon.
